hook: hands across star, orbit, long waves, Rory O'More
by: Michael Fuerst
Initially have dancers line up improper, and make long waves, with the gentlespoons facing out and the ladles in. Advise dancers that they will momentarily reach this special position. Then have dancers circle left one place to Becket position.
long lines forward
gentlespoons roll away partners with a half sashay
star right - hands across - 4 places
gentlespoons do si do once, return to where you started, but facing out
MEANWHILE ladles continue forward (clockwise) halfway around the do-si-doing gentlespoons. End in neighbor's right hands to
form long waves - ladles face in, gentlespoons face out
balance & Rory O'More right to face new neighbor ⁋
next neighbors balance & swing
circle left 3 places
Michael Fuerst Notes: Although seemingly straightforward, some dancers, especially gentlespoons, seem to have trouble positioning themselves correctly for the long wavy lines. Teach the preamble. Emphasize to the gentlespoons that they finish their do-si-do facing out.
