*Jersey Twirl is just a California Twirl with the "wrong hands" (Gentlespoons left hand, Ladles right hand). Ladles still go underneath the Gentlespoons arm, as in a California Twirl; it will feel weird at first.
This dance begins as a Becket dance (on the side with your partner, Ladle on the right), but progresses in the B1, moving up and down the set instead of the more traditional "slide left on the side."
Ladles should stand on the Left when out. However, if they forget, the Partner Balance and Swing does a good job of correcting the problem on its own.
