La Baratte: orig. Scottish figure; here, you begin facing your partner in an approximate line of four across the set. Allemande partner R 1/2; person now on outside (of the line of 4) raises joined Rhs and turns CW in toward partner to slide in front of them (ones facing up, twos facing down), catching raised Lhs as they pass. Bring Lhs down at end of pass and allemande L 1/2; you've traded places with your partner.
