hook: give and take to home side
by: Naomi Anderegg
formation: Becket
Wanted a becket dance with a "give and take to home side" for positional calling purposes. (ID home and give and take to home takes out the need to ID roles.)
This is a variation on "take me home" allowing for brief interaction with the previous neighbor (who you know... because you've already seen them) instead of the next neighbor.
A1 | 2 | slide left along set
|
6 | circle left 3 places
| |
8 | neighbors allemande right once
| |
A2 | 8 | prev neighbors allemande left once
|
8 | neighbors swing
| |
B1 | 8 | right left through
|
8 | right left through
| |
B2 | 8 | gentlespoons give & take partners
|
8 | partners swing ⁋
|
ID home side at the beginning.
A1 after the the circle, ID neighbor and previous neighbor on the walk-thru. If you've no previous neighbor, treat your partner as your neighbor for the beginning of A2.
B1 is filler -- could be a circle circle OR circle star OR hey OR full chain there and back, or left and right through to make it harder. You could mix it up. Just end B1 where it started.
B2 give & take to "home side". No need to refer to gentlespoons or ladles. The person at home pulls the other home.
