Progression happens after first two box circulates. If a couple is out to begin the dance, they must come back in for the third box circulate but with the ladle on the left and gentlespoon on the right!
If a couple is at the end for the third box circulate, the gentlespoon should cross to the other side of the set for the shadow allemande. This couple is then out for the second half of the dance.
