Notes from the author:
Written on July 15, 2001. First called on December 27, 2001 at Glenside, PA. Not recommending any keys here, but named after the main dance pavilion in Pinewoods where I learned a few lessons about circle rights and such.
The “Petronella claps” are good [in B1] because the first time, as all rejoin hands in a ring. But on the second Petronella, the claps disrupt flow into the star L, so dancers should think twice about clapping twice.
The circle R-pass L-allemande R [in B2/A1] is a new progression, but is not hard for dancers if clearly explained; after the circle R * tell them “because it’s a circle R, you pass through by the L, and the new [gentlespoons] are set up to allemande R, etc.” The circle R /pass L is equivalent to a [gentlespoons] chain just like a circle L /pass R is equivalent to a [ladles] chain.
