The first progression here happens in the hey. When dancers take hands in long waves to box circulate, the second progression has already happened. It could be helpful to identify neighbors 1, 2, and 3 during the lesson so dancers have faces they can anchor to as they progress.

You do not interact with neighbor #2 at all outside of the hey and long waves. Before circulating, ID neighbor #3 in your right hand during the long waves balance - this is the neighbor #1 you swing in the next A2.
