Not Quite Fifty with encoded heys

hook: Unique progression along 1/2 diagonal

by: Michael Fuerst

formation: Becket ccw

After dancers have lined up Becket,
1. Introduce dancers to their shadow--person dancing opposite role in couple to gentlespoon's right and ladle's left
2. Have dancers note the couple on the right diagonal as their next neighbors
3. Have ladles note the other ladle in their current foursome +

A1 8
circle left 3 places
8
neighbors swing
A2 8
ladles chain to partner
8
ladles start a hey - rights in center, lefts on ends - until partners meet. Upon facing each other, veer right to face shadow
B1 8
star right - hands across - 4 places with shadow
8
gentlespoons, with gentlespoon in his star, right shoulder gyre 1 1/2 around WHILE ladles with ladle across the set in her partner's star (other ladle from original foursome) left shoulder gyre 1 1/2 around
B2 4
partners balance with handy hand (gentlespoon's left ladles' right)
12
partners swing ⁋

At the end of B2, dancers might have to look on a slight right diagonal to find their next neighbors.

First danced at the Breaking Up Thanksgiving weekend in November 2001.

Intended as my birthday present to me.
