The Mad Ladle is similar to the diagonal Mad Ladle in Cary's Ravitz's dance "Cross Ladle" minus a second couple. You walk the same path of a Mad Ladle as if you and your partner are on the diagonal which goes through the middle to start with, but instead of having your eyes straight ahead (since there's no one there) you keep your eyes on your partner.
