Tom's Queue-less Carousel

by: Tom Hinds / Isaac Banner

formation: Becket

A1 8
slice left and straight back and gentlespoons pull neighbor ⁋
8

A2 8
circle left 3 places
8
partners allemande right 1½
B1 16
gentlespoons start a full hey - lefts in center, rights on ends left shoulder
B2 16
partners meltdown swing

Becket-ized version of Tom Hinds' The Carousel, but without the chunky feeling of long lines forward and back (technically the slice is almost lines forward/back, but dancers can ooze it a bit more, especially since it's a slice and take).

Queue-less, not clueless, because this time The Carousel has no lines. Unlike my program, which at the time had 5 LLFB and one just had to go.

Waltz

Boulder Bound

by: Isaac Banner

introduces moves: balance, pass through, custom

formation: Becket

A1 8
circle left 3 places and step into a wave
4
balance short waves
2
pass through ⁋
2

A2 8
gentlespoons allemande left once
8
neighbors swing
B1 8
revolving door
8
partners start a half hey - rights on ends, lefts in center
B2 16
partners meltdown swing

Ladles pass straight past their partner out of the revolving door, rather than weaving around them. Otherwise the gentlespoons feel like they're getting jerked back over their shoulder and it's pretty inelegant.

Written on the way to the CFOOTMAD dance in Boulder, CO.
