(Notes by Chris Page)
[1] A mad robin is a sideways do-si-do, ladles starting in front of their neighbor.
[2] A no-hands circle left 1/4 in your groups of four. Essentially ladles cross the set while gentlespoons sidestep to their left along the side of the set.
[3] Here you look at your neighbor across the set, and gentlespoons start by going forward to their right, ladles behind to their left, gentlespoons passing in front of partner.

Julian Bee notes that swapping the promenade for a R+L Thru is Linda Leslie's "Old Time Elixir #2", written in 1998. It's unclear when Dean wrote TTT, so both deserve a cross-reference. https://contradb.com/dances/474
