Hey for Forty

by: Carol Ormand

Fell apart when I tried to drop out of calling - feedback from dancers that it would have worked if I had kept cueing!

introduces moves: zig zag, star

formation: improper

A1 4
zig left zag right into a ring with N2
4
circle right 2 places [with N2]
4
zig right zag left to *pass* neighbor N1
4
zig left zag right into a ring with N0
A2 4
circle right 2 places [with N0]
4
zig right zag left back to N1
8
neighbors swing [with N1]
B1 8
circle left 3 places
8
partners swing
B2 8
ladles chain
8
star left 4 places ⁋

Zig and zag/weave the line is snappy! Make sure dancers get where they need to be to circle halfway and keep moving.
Dancers should stay alert at ends because couples will come out to circle right with them.
In the star, gentlespoons can offer their right hand behind them to their partner, which flows nicely into the zig left.
